Ellie Hamashima is a fun, charismatic senior and the Social Media Manager of the Falcon. She is the youngest of two siblings and enjoys making new friends, which is something she is excited to do next year in college where she plans on going into marketing or journalism. She doesn’t have a specific “dream school”, but she is especially passionate about NC State, UNC and Appalachian State. Although she is thrilled to go to college in North Carolina, she hopes to study abroad in Europe someday because it has always been a dream of hers to explore Scotland, Ireland and Paris!
In her free time you can find Ellie working hard at the gym and doing lots of writing, not only for the Falcon, but also for The Mental Health Organization and MOTIS! She juggles all of this while still being super involved here at Green Hope as the Vice President of Gardening club and an active member of Quill and Scroll. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, and you will definitely see mashed potatoes piled on her plate, as that is one of her favorite foods! Ellie is a lover of many things (especially otters) but do not let her catch you walking slowly because that’s one pet peeve she won’t budge on. This bubbly gal is smart, social and thrilled to come out of quarantine confident as ever and ready to tackle senior year!
