Annie Monge is a junior at Green Hope and this is her first year writing for the GH Falcon. She has always had a passion for writing which is why she had an attraction to this class. Annie plans on coming back to the staff next year. Another major part of Annie’s identity is swimming. She started swimming at 10 years old and swims for the Green Hope swim team, as well as swimming year-round outside of school. Annie also works as a lifeguard outside of school. Annie loves traveling and has lived in four continents, she wants travel to be a part of her future while pursuing a job in international business.

Veterans were among the opening groups in the parade. Onlookers applauded them for the service they provided.

Jaycees Cary Christmas Parade organized the entire parade and began the march with a banner.

The parade is popular with young children, and many parents love taking their kids to watch it.

These two best friends enjoyed the parade with their family and dressed festively to match the atmosphere.

Bond Brother Beer company was the 57th float and had live music with costumes to represent their act.

The School of Rock in Cary was the 55th act in line and had a cart with live music as they moved through the streets.

The Cary Fire Department drove a firetruck as part of the parade. Many kids enjoyed the truck and waving firefighters.

Pura Vida Studios had dancers and cheerleading stunts in the parade. The dancers matching outfits and moves caught the crowds attention.

Many paraders handed out candy as they walked. In particular, the boy scouts handed out a large amount of candy to kids on the side of the street.

Cary High Interact Club had many students dressed up as different characters. Costumes included childhood favorites like Spider-Man, Stitch, Winnie the Pooh, Wonder Woman and more.

The girl scouts smiled and waved to the crowd while boasting homemade signs.

Mosa pet spa resort and boutique brought many different animals, including goats and dogs that were painted in Christmas colors.
