This past Friday, the women’s and men’s basketball teams engaged in a hard fought battle with the Holly Spring Hawks.  Although the Falcons did not prevail, it was still a game to be remembered by senior athletes and their families.

Not just basketball athletes were honored alongside their parents.  Our Falcon cheerleaders and dancers, who’ve supported both teams throughout the season, were recognized.

A total of seven seniors were celebrated from both the women’s and men’s teams. Congratulations to: Sarah Carss, Lyla Sullivan, Kevon Riley, Carson Orlando, Michael Kaleta, Shaun Tart, and Nehemiah Tyehimba.

All five seniors from the boys team started, and each scored points and earned valuable playing time to finish off their Green Hope basketball careers on a high note. The game was  a nail-biter, with the score being tied numerous times.  The final score, Green Hope 65 and Holly Springs 75, did not accurately reflect just how tough the battle was. The women’s score finished 74-30 with captain Sarah Carss being one of the team’s main scorers.

The theme was “neon,” and several Falcon Frenzies showed out in bright yellow and pink for the boys’ last home game.

Senior night is always a special night, and it was one the Falcons will always remember.
