With a swoop, dive and a peck, Bird Game Three has captivated the hearts of many. But how come it isn’t talked about as one of the best recent games? Turns out, Bird Game Three isn’t even a real video game.

But if the game is fictional, what’s the cause of its massive popularity? Some believe the rise in popularity is due to the wide media output surrounding the game. Many are unable to scroll through popular social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram without stumbling upon Bird Game Three. With this much coverage, what is Bird Game Three?

The real Bird Game Three is nothing more than a collection of AI-generated videos. The trend began as a joke on social media about a fake video game. Videos would be posted with people talking about their excitement for the supposed Bird Game Three release or about what the game meant to them. The funny thing about the videos was that they were completely AI-generated.

However, the topic still caught massive popularity on social media, with some of the most popular content containing hundreds of thousands of likes. Bird Game Three has now become an obscure bit of humour for many. Some at Green Hope have even talked about the game. The GH Falcon talked with Green Hope Freshman Nathan Lindell (‘29) about the game; these were his thoughts on the topic: “AI has the potential to bring a lot of interesting and fun new ideas that would have never been made possible [without AI]”. This shows a brighter side of the AI generation that many seem to pass over: the creative aspect it unlocks and the ideas it can bring to life.

In fact, the game has touched the hearts of so many in such an unexpected way that the creation of a real Bird Game Three is now a possibility. One fan, @birdgame.three on Instagram, has decided to attempt to bring the game to reality. With the usage of Steam, making a real competitive Bird Game is possible. According to Bird Game Three’s Instagram, the game will feature 5v5 matches pitting different unique birds against each other. For fans who want to see the game brought to life, the Instagram account offers an outlet to give real feedback and state personal wishes about what Bird Game Three should include.

Diving deeper into the topic of AI-generation, is this a sign of the ever-growing grasp AI has on social media? And what will AI be used for in the future? Bird Game Three is just one demonstration of the capabilities that AI has to manipulate what we see online. If the public has the ability to use AI in such a way, how might governments or corporations control what we see online?

On the whole, Bird Game Three is just one of the many ways AI is being incorporated into our lives today. And this will only grow as social media output continues to strengthen. But at what point does society blur the lines between reality and AI?

Aspiring Green Hope baseball player Owen Gouthro is one of the latest additions to the GH Falcon’s staff. In his free time, Owen enjoys calm hobbies such as golfing, video gaming and reading. Some of his favorite book series include Scythe and The Fifth Wave. Owen is a big fan of taking things slow, or in his words, “going with the flow.” Some of Owen’s “going with the flow” activities include his long power naps after school on days when he doesn’t have baseball practice. One other example of Owen’s lifestyle is his “wide outlet” of media consumption that bleeds into his music taste and interest in books, giving him a wide variety of tastes. However, Owen’s biggest passion in life is his hobby of golfing. His dad introduced him to golf at a young age and he fell in love with the sport and adopted the same passion for it as his dad. As for his school life, Owen likes to stick to his routine and maintain a relaxed schedule. As a writer, Owen hopes to channel his wide outlet, relaxed personality and his passions from his hobbies into his articles.

Jacob Barnett, Staff Writer

Jacob Barnett is a junior at Green Hope and an aspiring musician, playing guitar for his band “Cytrous.” Jacob, known as Jake by friends, is a hardworking new addition to the GH Falcon’s staff. Jake has played for multiple Green Hope sports teams such as wrestling and cross country, but strayed away to focus on the guitar. Jake tries to practice the guitar daily to keep consistency, even if it’s only for 10 minutes. Jake often finds himself with a lack of personal time outside of extracurriculars such as guitar lessons and his job at Jet’s pizza. Although he now doesn’t play any, he still has a long time love for sports stemming from his grandfather and his strong ties to Philadelphia that have inspired the teams he watches. Jake has a strong interest in not just music but also music media, having a strong understanding of what’s popular in many different areas of music. Overall, Jake is a strong new part of the GH Falcon and is excited to write this year.
