Hashi Lucksanapirak, Social Media Manager
Hashi is a freshman at Green Hope High School. He lives with his mom, younger brother and younger sister. He likes to listen to music, read articles and likes working with digital things. He joined the GH Falcon staff because he feels like he can make an impact on the school. Hashi is originally from Thailand, but moved to North Carolina last year. His biggest achievement was made last year when he competed in a history competition and created a documentary that made it all the way to nationals. His favorite foods are fried chicken and burgers and his favorite color is blue. He is excited to write for and contribute to the social media of the GH Falcon this year.
Ahmed Mrabet, Staff Writer
Ahmed Mrabet is a senior at Green Hope and was interested in journalism through a sparked curiosity about current world events. He grew up watching soccer, which led him to join a team outside of school. Ahmed is the middle child with an older sister in college and a younger sister in middle school, and occasionally takes time to help out at Habitat for Humanity. He is genuine about his love for human rights and plans to pursue a career of media and marketing in college. Ahmed is excited to start his journey as a staff member alongside the GH Falcon.
Shruthi Prakash, Staff Writer
Shruthi Prakash is in her senior year, but is just starting out as a staff writer for the GH Falcon. She seeks to pursue a career in medicine, and her preparation is truly unique. Serving on both the Green Hope Sports Medicine team and volunteering at an urgent clinic, Shruthi’s passion for service runs deep. This service extends outside the medical field too, as she works to tell international political stories in Model United Nations. North Carolina is lucky to have Shruthi, and she feels lucky to call The Old North State her home. Shruthi enjoys Green Hope High School’s tight knit community and all of the opportunities available to her. Shruthi’s preparation for her post-secondary plans extends to her decision to join the GH Falcon staff. Shruthi is looking forward to developing writing skills, learning how to express her opinions and using the class as an outlet to tell important stories.
