Top study locations for Green Hope Falcons

Y-Nhu Do
The West Regional Library provides computers for public use and multiple tables for studying.

For many, the most common study locations include their bedrooms, dining rooms and kitchen counters. While students utilize these spaces for their convenience and somewhat of a quiet environment, sometimes a change of pace can be beneficial. Studying in a cafe or library can possibly boost one’s productivity and focus by changing up monotonous day-to-day surroundings. The GH Falcon compiled a list of the top study locations for you to check out, ranging from libraries and bookstores to cafes and bakeries.

West Regional Library

About four minutes away from Green Hope, the West Regional Library is a quick and convenient after-school study location. The library has multiple quiet spaces for visitors to read and work. Additionally, the library provides multiple computers available for public use. This library is known for being chilly, so if you are prone to getting cold, do bring a jacket!

Cary Regional Library

The Cary Regional Library is in the heart of Downtown Cary, making it a prime location to both study and enjoy the area. Like the West Regional Library, the Cary Regional provides computers for guests to use. The library has secluded areas for those looking for peace and quiet while working. Known for its helpful staff and wide collection of books, this library provides many resources for visitors.

Crema Coffee Roaster & Bakery

At Crema Coffee Roaster & Bakery, you can grab a drink or pastry to enjoy while you work. The place is known to be quiet and is usually less busy in the afternoons. The cafe provides free WiFi for you to study and there are a couple of tables indoors and outdoors for a variety of preferences. Many visitors enjoy the premium coffee beans Crema sells. The store also offers bubble teas for those who do not enjoy coffee.

Meeple’s Brew

Meeple’s Brew is well known for being a board game cafe, making it a fun place to hang out with friends. However, the place can also be a good location to do homework while enjoying a tasty snack. Meeple’s Brew provides free WiFi as well. Do note that it costs $5 per person to play their board games if you are looking for some post-homework fun.

BREW Coffee Bar

Also located in Downtown Cary, connected to the historical Cary Theater, BREW Coffee Bar is another ideal study location. With plenty of natural light and upstairs seating, the shop provides a good environment for working. Do note that all the store’s chairs are metallic, which may make sitting for long hours uncomfortable. If you are studying at the Cary Regional Library, you can head over to BREW Coffee Bar for a quick treat afterwards!

Common Grounds Coffee House & Desserts

For many students, the prime study location is their dining room table or desk. (Y-Nhu Do)

With rustic wooden decor and brick walls, Common Grounds Coffee House & Desserts makes for a cozy study environment. The store offers unique lattes and gelato, setting it apart from other shops. This shop is known for its excellent customer service and delicious baked goods, so if you need fuel before your study session, this may be the location for you!

With all these places around Green Hope’s campus, there’s one you will definitely like! Check these places out to boost your productivity and mood while experiencing new environments!

Y-Nhu Do, Student Life Editor
Y-Nhu is a senior at Green Hope High School, and was born in Cary, NC. She lives with her family, which includes her two brothers.  Y-Nhu is hopeful that she will have a dog join the family one day.  She has traveled throughout the United States, including California, Virginia, and Maine, but she finds that she enjoys the beach the most. Although an enthusiastic English, Creative Writing and Speech student, she aspires to study accounting in the future. In her free time, you can find her playing beach volleyball, (which she intends to play in college at the University of Southern Mississippi), listening to the latest pop music, or binging her favorite comedy and action films. This year, she looks forward to meeting new friends, enjoying senior year and playing more volleyball.
