As the leaves begin to turn colors, fall is finally here and with that comes Halloween, a night of trick-or-treating and scare. Many of North Carolina’s historical farms transform for the month of October to turn your nightmares into reality for one spooky fun night.
Haunted Forest at Panic Point
Labeled as North Carolina’s #1 haunted forest, Panic Point is located in Youngsville, NC. The attraction showcases six individual events with 27 scenes to explore. One event features a half-mile walk through the haunted forest with various scary scenes testing your readiness and ability to control fear as you walk down the dim path. As you continue to their Stalkers Farm Corn Maze, be sure to keep your distance from both “The Outhouse” and “Granny’s Porch” as you could upset many of the free-range haunters that can sense an ounce of fear. Open Friday through Sunday at 7 p.m. get ready for a night of fear and fun.
Darkside Haunted Estates
The Darkside Haunted Estates Located in Middlesex, NC is one of the longest-running haunted houses in North Carolina, running for 40 years. Darkside is open Friday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. This attraction showcases the famous BUNDIE hotel and if you thought Panic Point’s half-mile walk through the forest was hard enough, Darkside features a mile walk with free roaming haunters around any corner at any second. With 11 different events and many new additions, this night is sure to be filled with lots of never-heard-before screams.
Clayton Fear Farm
Clayton Fear Farm features numerous attractions and is located in Clayton, North Carolina. The farm is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 p.m. Clayton features several haunted houses as well as many new additionals to add a strong fear factor. As you walk through the slaughterhouse, make sure to keep all arms, legs and heads on you as you might end up on the wrong side of the knife. Clayton Fear Farm showcases the scariest attractions that enter the night but by dawn, this farm transforms into Boyette Family Farms Inc. featuring a more kid-friendly opportunity to harvest from their pumpkin patch or enjoy a smooth hay ride through the farm. Day or night, Clayton has it all.
Phillips Farm Field of Screams
Phillips Farm is located in Cary, North Carolina and is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 11 p.m. Visitors can explore four haunted attractions including The Field of Lost Souls, where many enter but so few come out unchanged. If you dare to wander this haunted corn maze, be prepared for anything that may come your way. Serving North Carolina for over 100 years, Phillips Farm contributes more than just a spooky night out, during the day you can experience the Fall Family Fun Park, a kid-friendly experience. Year-round, Phillips Farm also produces fresh produce!
Woods of Terror
Woods of Terror is located in Greensboro, NC and features over 16 attractions that are all available under one ticket! As you enter through the narrow hallways filled with cobwebs, the Phobia House leaves you fighting some of your biggest fears. Stranger Things fans can check out Eleven’s Nightmare House where you see some of Eleven’s scariest and darkest dreams, leaving you with some nightmares for yourself. Woods of Terror is open Sunday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
