Fans are “Happier Than Ever” that Billie Eilish came to Raleigh. On Thursday, Oct. 16, and Friday, Oct. 17, Billie Eilish continued her “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” tour in Raleigh, North Carolina, and during both nights, the Lenovo Center was completely packed with more than 20,000 people who went to see Eilish perform. Both shows were full of excitement and energy, and they will be days that fans will remember for the rest of their lives.

Raleigh wasn’t on Eilish’s original list of places to go during her tour, but after a few shows, she announced more dates, with two of them being in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tickets were almost sold out before the pre-sale was even over. Eilish’s shows always have a theme for each night, and this held in Raleigh. On Oct. 16, the theme was patterns, and on Oct. 17, fans were supposed to wear jerseys, not a sports jersey but a similar jersey that Eilish often wears during shows or even in some video clips, such as the video clip of her song “LUNCH.”
Eilish’s opening performer for the Raleigh shows was Young Miko, a Puerto Rican artist with more than 20.7 million listeners on Spotify. Her growing popularity was amplified by a feature on Bad Bunny’s album as well as his tour. She released her debut EP in 2022: “Trap Kitty”, which involved the use of Spanglish – a mix of Spanish and English – and Latin trap tracks. In 2024, she released her first album, “Att.” (abbreviation for atentamente, translation: sincerely). Eilish’s fans have grown a liking for Young Miko’s music after her opening acts. Her act lasted around 30 minutes, and it made fans really excited and ready for Eilish’s show.

The GH Falcon spoke with former Green Hope student Sofia Roquete to ask her what her opinion was on the show. “I was extremely happy when I first got the ticket. I found out that she was coming to Raleigh, and I went crazy and begged my parents for tickets. Right off the bat, when she started singing, I was already getting emotional and crying. She’s been my favorite singer for such a long time, and I really do look up to her. This has been my dream since I discovered who she was, around 7 years ago, so I was extremely happy.” Many fans were excited to see Eilish performing live after a long time of anticipating seeing her. With the announcement of her extended tour dates, local fans in North Carolina were beaming with excitement.
Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” tour has arguably been life-changing for those who attended, with fans who have listened to her for years finally getting to see her in person performing their favorite songs. Even the opening act, Young Miko, left an impression on fans. It was an emotional show, and a sense of unity was found among most fans who dressed up for the theme. The atmosphere during the concert was electric, and enthusiastic cheers were resonating throughout the Lenovo Center.
