Switching from fun events to scary haunted houses, Phillips Farm is reopening their horror attractions on Sep. 19 with two new horror houses. The official Fun Park opened last Saturday Sep 13 and runs from 10am-6pm, with over 25 rides and activities . Some of the activities include the giant corn box, roller racers, pedal cart track, bounce pillows, Pint Sized Pasture Petting Zoo and much more.
Aside from the Family Fun Park, the farm opens up their horror nights from Sept. 19 through Oct. 25 from 8PM-11PM and runs exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays. The event consists of a wagon ride, haunted corn maze and two new scare houses. The cost of general admission is 34.74 dollars for one trip through all attractions. Tickets can be purchased online or in the ticket booth on-site, with seniors, first responders and veterans receiving two dollars off admission tickets when they purchase tickets on-site.
Phillips Farm also has a family friendly option, the Fun Park, which reopened up last Saturday on September 13 for its fall season. General admission for the park is 20 dollars per person for ages two and up. This price includes the corn maze, train and wagon rides and more. Some activities, however, are pay-to-play, like the apple cannon and gemstone mining. This year, they’re introducing the Super Fun Pass for 30 dollars per person, which does include the pay-to-play activities. There are also special events hosted at the fun park such as the annual “Bearly a Concert” fundraiser and other large scale activities. The “Bearly a Concert” fundraiser is a musical,family-friendly event that supports mental health initiatives in the Triangle Area.

Phillips Farm attractions will happen either rain or shine as long as the conditions are safe and the weather permits. There will be no refunds and the park is fully outdoors, so dress accordingly and comfortably! The gates will open at 7:30 PM for the horror nights but attractions do start at 8 PM. As for the family fun park and market, the times vary from day-to-day and their schedule is available to view on their website. One thing to note is that the ticket booth closes one hour before closing each day.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but the farm has many options to choose from for food and drink. They have a variety of food trucks, a local farmers’ market and many drinks to choose from. All the activities and concessions inside of the fun park are cash only, but they do have an ATM available. However, Dampf Good BBQ, a barbeque food truck outside of the farm accepts credit cards.
When you purchase a ticket from Phillips Farm, you’re not only getting a day full of fun, you’re making someone else’s day even better. Phillips Farm donates every dollar raised to foundations and nonprofits like Band Together, United Way Greater Triangle and Oak and Ember Foundation. In the mornings or afternoons at Phillips Farm, it can be fun and fresh but in the nights, it’s the scare to remember.
