Artist spotlights: Who’s taking the stage this fall

Many fan favorite artists are coming to Coastal Credit Union music park this fall.

With so many artists taking the stage throughout the upcoming months, now is the perfect time to start marking your calendars and getting ready for a season full of fan favorite shows. From country stars to rap hits, the stage is set for an unforgettable lineup of performances to kick off this fall.

The Lumineers

Starting off, we have an indie folk group based in Denver, Colorado. They first came into mainstream media after their 2012 debut, featuring the now-iconic hit “Ho Hey.” In February of this year, they released their fifth album called “Automatic.” They’re concert will take place on September 16 at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh.

Lil Tecca

Lil Tecca first went viral in 2019 with “Ransom,” a SoundCloud hit that took him to fame before he turned 18. This moment established Lil Tecca as a mainstream artist, with his music going on to accumulate billions of streams across many different platforms. Since then he has created albums such as “Dopamine” and “Virgo Sun.” His latest tour supports the album TEC. Tecca will be coming to The Ritz on October 1.

Jon Pardi

Jon Pardi is bringing his Honkytonk Hollywood Tour to Red Hat Amphitheater on October 10. Pardi represents traditional country music with a modern twist. He gained fame after moving to Nashville, writing and performing songs, eventually releasing a successful debut album after opening for popular artists such as Dierks Bentley. Since his breakout album, California Sunrise in 2016, Pardi has amplified more storytelling lyrics. Some of his most popular songs are “Head over boots” and “Night Shift.”

Tate McRae

Tate McRae rose to fame with her viral single “you broke me first” and hasn’t slowed down since. She’s often compared to Billie Eilish, but her background in competitive dance gives her more of a performance side. As a singer, songwriter and dancer McRae brings a fun and edgy performance to the stage. Her 2023 album “Think Later” showcased her confidence, and 2025’s “Miss Possessive era” is all about navigating heartbreak. She plans to bring the show to Lenovo Center on October 10.

Playboi Carti

Playboi Carti is a rapper known for his exciting style and his unique take on modern hip-hop. His hit single “Magnolia”, produced by Pi’erre Bourne, brought him into the mainstream. His latest tour, Antagonist, follows up on the success of “Whole Lotta Red” and builds anticipation for his album “Music”. Carti’s shows are less about his lyrics and more about energy and immersion. He is coming out to the Lenovo Center on November 13.

Whether you’re into high energy hip-hop or viral pop hits, this fall’s concert lineup offers something for everyone. From the emotional depth of The Lumineers to the high energy of Playboi Carti, these artists are ready to light up stages across Raleigh with exciting performances. Now’s the time to grab your tickets, plan your outfits and prepare for a season full of music, memories and moments you’ll be talking about long after the final song.

Mia Swain, Staff Writer

Mia Swain is a junior at Green Hope and is in her first year with the GH Falcon. She decided to join the staff this year in hopes of improving her writing skills while also channeling her creativity. She is excited to write for the Student Life section of the newspaper, but is interested in learning about all the sections of the paper as she grows into the role of a staff writer. Outside of school, Mia is passionate about sports, playing both club and school soccer while also coaching a children’s gymnastics team. In addition to sports, she enjoys hanging out with friends and going shopping. Mia hopes to go to an in-state college to pursue a career in the medical field once she graduates. She is looking forward to being a staff writer this year.

Caroline Newcomb, Staff Writer

Caroline Newcomb is a senior at Green Hope, and this is her first year writing for the GH Falcon. She believes that writing can unite a community, and has always been fascinated by the ability to captivate an audience, which led her to join the staff. She flourishes in the media world – whether that be working behind the scenes for our school news or writing for the GH Falcon. Volleyball plays a major role in Caroline’s life. Not only does she play for Green Hope, but she also runs the social media page for both her volleyball and the school’s softball team. With a lot on her plate, Caroline’s coordination comes in handy, making her organization one of her most admirable traits. When Caroline is not playing sports, you can find her working out, at the beach or listening to her favorite artist, Drake. If you catch Caroline a decade from now, expect to see her working with a sports team, focusing on curating their image and helping them grow as an athlete.
