After opening in 2022, Fenton quickly gained popularity and has transformed from a new small business to an established flourishing shopping hub, becoming a common place for people of all ages to gather and eat, shop or catch a movie.
From apparel stores like Madewell, Lululemon and Nike; delicious restaurants such as M Sushi, Superica and Honeysuckle Gelato; entertainment from places like Paragon Theaters; and the sprawling spaces full of games for kids, there is something for everyone at Fenton. Its signature is the wide but balanced range of splendid stores and boutiques, a mix of trendy and timeless shops, which is what makes Fenton so appealing to many. Each store at the shopping center is unique— for example, Altar’d State carries a chic cowgirl style, while Athleta sells quality active wear.
Fenton has primarily clothing stores, but it also harbors furniture and cookware stores, such as Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. For those interested in beauty, quality cosmetic and jewelry stores such as Sephora, BlueMercury, Kendra Scott and Baileys can also be found at Fenton.
Maddie Bereman (‘27), a Green Level student, goes to Fenton regularly. “It’s one of my favorite places to shop because Fenton is like the mall but better. I like it because it has a lot of trending stores and it is so picturesque,” Bereman explained.
Aside from its stores, another reason why Fenton is so popular is because of its array of restaurants, from Tex-Mex to Italian, gelato to sandwiches. Bereman has been to a few Fenton restaurants, but one in particular sticks out to her. “All the restaurants at Fenton are good, but Colletta is my favorite because it has authentic Italian food and has the best chicken parm.”
Fenton also carries a gelato shop for those who opt for something sweet after a savory meal. If shoppers get tired while venturing around Fenton, they can also grab a quick drink at Carriage House Coffee.
Beyond shopping and dining, Fenton offers a large variety of entertainment. Most notable is the Paragon Theater, where customers can relax on the large, electric leather recliners and catch the latest movies.
At Fenton, pilates classes are available to people of all ages and fitness levels. Those who would prefer a more relaxing experience can relax at spas AVEDA Von Kekel Salon and Face Foundrié, or get their nails done at the Nail Kitchen. The shopping center even has waxing salons, as well as a primary care clinic and a veterinary urgent care.
During the holidays, Fenton also holds many events to celebrate the season. The most popular winter festivity at Fenton is “Skate the Square,” where an outdoor skating rink is open from Nov. 8th to Feb. 9th, and to add holiday cheer and ambience, a large Christmas tree sits at the center of the rink.
Simone Vyas (‘26) looks forward to Fenton holiday activities, especially ice skating. “I want to go to Fenton during winter break to Christmas shop and go ice skating with friends. I think it would be lots of fun and the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit,” she explained.
Fenton has Christmas events for younger kids as well, such as “Little Fentonians Skate the Square,” which is scheduled for Dec. 19th. It is a family friendly ice skating session where children six-and-under can safely skate with their parents.
For those who have pets or children, Fenton also has an event called “Santa in Wonderland” where parents can get photos of their babies or pets alongside Santa Claus in his igloo. For romantics, a fun holiday activity is riding a horse drawn carriage during “Light the Square Night.”
Fenton is a versatile and unique mall with seemingly endless options. From a spa day to a movie night, a casual dinner to an eventful shopping day, Fenton carries something to cater to everyone.
