Senior track athlete Hope Troiano recently committed to Meredith College to continue her academic and athletic career. A veteran on the track team, Hope was often seen finishing at the top in her races and looks to do the same at the next level. When asked to describe Hope as an athlete, her coach, Coach Gardener stated that, “Hope has grown into her sport. She loves her sport but over time she understood her craft. This makes a happier and better runner”.

I talked to Hope regarding her experience at Green Hope and her decision.

What are your goals at the next level?

Some of my goals when I get to Meredith will be to place top 10 in all of my events for Meredith, and to PR more regularly.

What’s your favorite memory competing as a Falcon?

My favorite memory competing as a Falcon I would say was the All-American Classic meet. Being around the best people on the team in a different environment is one of the best memories.

What made you decide on Meredith?

Going to Meredith wasn’t that hard of a choice. As soon as I found out I had an opportunity to run in college, I knew I wanted to take it. I love the way running makes me feel and I know I wanted to keep it that way in college.

Do you have any advice for young athletes hoping to play in college?

The one piece of advice I would give younger athletes is to go above and beyond in everything you do, because in the long run it will help you more than you think and you don’t want to look back and regret something you wish you did.

Congratulations Hope! We can’t wait to see you perform at the next level. We’re sure you’ll succeed!
