The owner, Carrie Haub, wrote on the store’s website how her interest in baking originated when she and her family moved to California’s wine region. During her time there, she experimented with combining the aromas she came across into her baking. She also utilizes honey from local beekeepers as a way to use a natural instead of an artificial sweetener in the baked goods sold at the store.
Game on Escapes & More: With this popular attraction at the Boxyard, they feature three distinct escape room experiences; known as Container 51, Cat Burglar and Jailbreak. The premise of Container 51 is set in a desert environment, where a mysterious shipping container was located in. A scan of the container reveals a hidden chamber, as guests who participate play the role of researchers. As the container is opened, they will discover that it is not human technology. As for the Cat Burglar, the setup follows a billionaire keeping his bank codes hidden in a shipping container. The goal is to collect these codes and escape without getting caught. In the Jailbreak experience, guests are imprisoned and the goal is to eventually escape with only 30 minutes on the clock. People who participate in this attraction can have the option to compete with friends, as they are placed in a different cell.
